Putin appoints Travnikov as head of presidential administration for civil service

Russian President Vladimir Putin has put Maxim Travnikov in charge of a new department of the presidential administration. The Kremlin press service announced the personnel changes.

On May 23, 2023, Travnikov was appointed head of the Presidential Office for Civil Service, Personnel and Anti-Corruption.

Since 2019, he has been the Head of the Cabinet of the President of the Russian Federation for the Civil Service and Personnel.

From the text of the document published on the Kremlin website, it appears that two departments were merged in the presidential administration – the personnel department and the fight against corruption. Andrey Chobotov, the former head of the anti-corruption division, was removed from his post.
