Mumbai beat Hyderabad by 8 wickets, Cameron Green scored a century

Mumbai(Mumbai). Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in their last league match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Sunday. With this win, Mumbai Indians have 16 points from 14 matches with 8 wins and 6 losses. Also, the team has kept alive its hopes of qualifying for the playoffs. Sunrisers Hyderabad, batting first, scored 200 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs in the match played here at the Chennaswamy Stadium. In response, the Mumbai team won by scoring 201 runs in 2 wickets in 18 overs thanks to a brilliant 100 runs in 47 balls by all-rounder Cameron Green.

Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants have already qualified for the playoffs of IPL 2023. The name of the fourth team will be decided after the result of the final match of the league between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans.

In this match, Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first. Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first. The team scored 200 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Mayank Agarwal, the opener for the team, scored the highest 83 runs in 46 balls. He hit 8 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. Apart from Mayank, young batsman Vivrant Sharma scored 69 runs in 47 balls with the help of 9 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from these, Heinrich Klaasen contributed 18 runs in 13 balls and captain Aiden Markram contributed 13 runs in 7 balls. For Mumbai, Akash Madhwal took 4 wickets, while Chris Jordan got one wicket.

Chasing a mammoth target of 201 runs from Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians batted furiously. The team won by scoring 201 runs losing 2 wickets in 18 overs. For Mumbai, all-rounder Cameron Green played a brilliant 100-run century in 47 balls. Green hit 8 fours and 8 sixes in his innings. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 56 runs in 37 balls with the help of 8 fours and a six. Apart from these, Suryakumar Yadav scored 25 runs in 16 balls and Ishaan Kishan scored 14 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mayank Dagar took one wicket each from Sunrisers Hyderabad.
