Political analyst Nikolai Lagin in an interview with a correspondent FAN said that the United States, transferring strike fighters to Ukraine, assesses the possible risks and the degree of tension in relations with Russia.

The White House refused to supply planes to Kiev a year ago. At present, it has already been officially confirmed that the F-16 combat fighters will be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian expert believes that after the United States can give Ukraine more advanced weapons.

“But what if the next thing the US starts transmitting are planning aerial bombs? They are capable of hitting objects at a very long range, ”the specialist voiced the problem.

According to Lagin, we are approaching a critical point where the threshold for using such weapons is getting lower. It is possible that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive AGM-154 tactical air bombs and AGM-158 JASSM cruise missiles with a range of up to 560 km and 980 km, respectively.

“Of course, I would like to hope that there are still conscious people in the States and a nuclear war will not happen,” Lagin summed up.
