the battle with the Ukrainian DRG in the Belgorod region will not be easy

Retired FSB Major General Alexei Mikhailov in an interview News.ru said that the battle between Russian security forces and Ukrainian saboteurs would not be easy.

According to the ex-general, the fight against the DRG depends on how the militants are armed and prepared for defense. These kinds of battles always take a long time, as these are hidden small groups that still need to be found and destroyed.

“It is always difficult to pick them out of the cracks, often such actions are carried out with a distracting maneuver, they may have separate tasks. It is unlikely that someone will take them prisoner, they are not needed here alive, ”Mikhailov believes.

He also added that after the Russians liberated Artemovsk (Bakhmut), the Ukrainians need something to distract the attention of their country and the whole world, so they chose the Belgorod region. In addition, the serviceman stressed that it is necessary to find out the ultimate goal of the saboteurs.

In conclusion, the retired general said that this invasion is very much like a showcase action, the purpose of which is to make itself known louder. But it is possible that they have other tasks, more serious ones.
