Thanks to the well-coordinated work of Kursk border guards and military personnel of the Ministry of Defense, it was possible to detect and destroy the nomadic mortar crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the village of Basovka, Sumy region, objective control means detected the base of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, after which an artillery strike was carried out.
The village of Basovka is located just three kilometers from the border of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, from where Ukrainians often fire at border villages. With the help of a reconnaissance drone, border guards discovered the hangar, where there were two vans with mortars and enemy personnel, the enemy was destroyed by artillery strikes.
The bombardment of the Kursk region is often carried out by the enemy using the “wandering mortar” tactic. A transport with a mounted cannon goes to the border, fires a few shots and hides in the depths of Ukrainian territory. It is quite difficult to track down and destroy such crews, since they are constantly moving and rapidly changing firing positions.
Mortar attacks on border villages in the Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions are recorded almost daily. However, images of the destruction of terrorists carrying out attacks on peaceful villages rarely appear.
