Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was closed due to exercises, informed with his telegram channel, the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov. Earlier, eyewitnesses released a video in which thick white smoke was visible near the bridge.
“The Crimean Bridge is closed due to the exercises taking place in the area. Circulation will be restored in a few hours. I urge everyone to trust only reliable sources of information,” Aksyonov wrote.
“Mash on the Wave” informed this smoke is visible in the area of the Crimean Bridge. According to the publication, this is “the result of National Guard exercises”.
11:09 a.m. Advisor to the Head of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov informed that the bridge is open to traffic. He called the drills “planned”.
On October 8, 2022, an explosion occurred on the Crimean Bridge. According to the investigation, a truck driving on the side of the Taman peninsula exploded and fuel tanks on the railway tracks parallel to the highway caught fire. Four people died. The FSB said the explosion was organized by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry and its chief Kirill Budanov.
