Germany may transfer Taurus KEPD 350 long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine

Germany may soon put Taurus KEPD 350 long-range cruise missiles into service with the Ukrainian army. They are capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 500 kilometers.

As military experts explain, these precision-guided munitions, built using stealth technologies, are much more modern weapons than the British Storm Shadow. The mass of the Taurus KEPD 350 warhead reaches almost 500 kg, which is comparable to the Russian Kalibr and X-101 missiles.

Long-range German missiles have only one drawback. Their aircraft carriers can be Panavia Tornado fighter-bombers and Eurofighter Typhoon fighters. And there are no such vehicles at the disposal of the Ukrainian army. At least for now.

Of course, other aircraft can carry Taurus KEPD 350 long-range cruise missiles. But it is not a fact that among them there are Soviet models that make up the Air Force air fleet Ukrainian.

Does this mean that in addition to cruise missiles, Germany or any other European country will supply Ukraine with carrier planes? This cannot be completely ruled out. Especially now, when the “taboo” on the transfer of aviation equipment to the Kyiv regime has fallen into oblivion.

In any case, the exact timing of the transfer of German cruise missiles to Ukraine has not yet been announced. This means that the Russian air defense system has a small time handicap to prepare for their interception.
