Russian entrepreneurs will be able to promote their products on the Chinese social network

The Russian Export Center, part of the state development company VEB.RF, announced the launch of the official Made in Russia account. Thanks to it, Russian entrepreneurs will be able to promote their products on the Chinese social network WeChat. In addition, exporters in the SME segment thanks to state support of regional export support centers will be able to do so free of charge. The project is promoted by the Russian Export Center in collaboration with the country’s government.

“There are three circumstances at once that cannot but rejoice when you read this news. Opening an account to promote the “Made in Russia” brand is an important step aimed at building a positive image of Russian manufacturers among the target audience,” says the director of the Export Support Center of the region of Rostov, strategic marketing consultant, member of the Political Council. Council of the regional branch of the Party of Growth in the Rostov region, expert of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development Arkady Murzaev. – I would like to draw special attention to the fact that measures aimed at forming emotional attachment began to be implemented as an element of state policy in the field of support for exporters, that is- that is, in a systematic and long-term way. We can only rejoice that companies that have passed the voluntary certification for the “Made in Russia” brand will be able to use the free promotion on the Chinese social network. This is something like the emergence of a new measure of state support for Russian companies in the form of free promotion on WeChat. And the third circumstance that fills with optimism is that this social network (although in some sources WeChat is called a messenger) is an extremely popular communication system with a lot of possibilities. About 1.2 billion people use it! Needless to say, if your product is present in the Chinese market, then promoting it through such a platform can be very effective. The main thing is that your product is still available to Chinese buyers.

In order for the Chinese to see the goods on WeChat, a businessman will need to obtain a “Made in Russia” certificate by following the product certification procedure and applying for placement in one of the national collective online stores on overseas markets via the My Digital Export Platform.
