Russian film company Russian World Vision (RWV) has acquired the rights to Studio Ghibli films from Japanese director-animator Hayao Miyazaki. How informed The film company’s library includes 22 films.
“We are pleased to announce that we have become the exclusive copyright holder of the Studio Ghibli Animation Library. The library includes 22 films from the legendary Studio Ghibli created by Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata in 1985,” said RWV in a statement.

According to representatives of RWV, the company “has acquired all types of rights and plans to implement them in Russia and the CIS, including theatrical re-releases.”
Company CEO Konstantin Elkin said the films will be available in online cinemas.
“At the moment, we are negotiating with the sites. The catalog of who the library will be will be known later,” Elkin added.
On the afternoon of May 25, notifications appeared on the Studio Ghibli cartoon pages on Kinopoisk stating that the movies would only be available to users until May 31, with the movie distributor unable to renew. broadcasting rights.
