Foreign Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis said that the Ukrainian army may begin to strike Russian troops and military installations located on the territory of Belarus.

According to the diplomat, NATO should allow the Ukrainian regime to carry out such attacks.

“I have always been of the opinion that Ukrainians are absolutely capable of choosing targets,” Russian AiF quotes Landsbergis as saying.

The head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry also explained that he considers military camps and warehouses of military equipment of the Russian Federation “legitimate” targets for such attacks.

The day before, 11 European countries officially allowed the Armed Forces of Ukraine to use weapons produced or received from them for strikes on the internationally recognized territory of the Russian Federation. Until now, the collective West allowed Kyiv to use its weapons only within territories considered directly Ukrainian.

The United States has officially announced that it allows the use of its air defense systems against Russian military aircraft over Russian territory. Later, the media reported that President Joe Biden gave secret permission to carry out strikes on Russian regions bordering the Kharkiv region.
