Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed Bhoomi Pujan for the creation of Lord Parshuram Lok at the holy place Janapav on Tuesday evening. On this occasion, he also announced the beginning of efforts to bring Narmada water to Janapav hill, the birth place of Lord Parshuram, and to set up a ropeway. The Chief Minister said that Parshuram Lok would be constructed at Janapav at a cost of Rs 10 crore 32 lakh. He said that this pilgrimage center will be made equipped with all facilities. Every devotee will get its benefit from this. Tourism and Culture Minister Usha Thakur, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, MP BD Sharma, Chairman of Youth Commission Dr. Nishant Khare, MPs Kavita Patidar and Chhatar Singh Darbar, MLA Ramesh Mendola, former MLA Rajesh Sonkar, Vice Chairman of Indore Development Authority were present on the occasion. Golu Shukla, Mahant Bhaleshwar Maharaj and Yogeshwar along with other sages, public representatives were specially present. First of all, the Chief Minister reached Janapav, the birthplace of Lord Parshuram and the origin of many rivers, offered prayers in the newly constructed temple of Lord Parshuram and visited the holy water tank. He said that when he had come here last April, he had announced to make Parshuram Lok here. In a period of about one month, the state government started implementing the announcement of making this Parshuram Lok. Bhumi Pujan has also been done today by giving approval for various construction works. He said that the country is governed by the Constitution, but religion is its base. Even in ancient times, the ruling class used to build panghat, temples, dharamshalas and public purposes. The Government of Madhya Pradesh is also undertaking various development works as well as development of various religious places. Plans should also be made for the development and facilities of the public and such holy people should also be created. The state government is making conscious efforts for this. He said that it is a difficult task to bring the water of Maa Narmada on such a high hill, but the water of Narmada will be brought here by pumping in different stages. Minister Usha Thakur said that today this holy place has been equipped with many facilities for the devotees. Bhumi Pujan has been done for Parshuram Public Works. At the same time, various construction works have also been inaugurated for the convenience of the devotees at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore. He said that Devbhoomi Kerala was created from the ax of Lord Parshuram. Lord Parshuram is not only our idol but he is also the basis of India’s cultural unity. Minister Usha Thakur said that 90 villages of Mhow region have taken a unique initiative. Akhand Shiv Kirtan will be started by the villagers of these villages in Janapav. In a day, groups from three villages will come here and perform continuous sankirtan. This will happen continuously for 24 hours. Due to this, the Tapobhoomi of Janapav will be energized even more. MP VD Sharma said that today is a day of pride that the statue of Lord Parshuram has been unveiled in Janapav. Janapav is being developed as a pilgrimage. The spirit of religion and spirituality arises from this land. The inspiration of patriotism also comes from here. He said that development of Lord Parshuram Lok is the result of Chief Minister Chouhan’s determination.
