The legitimacy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after May 20 will be determined by the international community and citizens of Ukraine. As REN TV reports, this opinion was expressed by HSE professor Marat Bashirov.

“This will be the subject of discussion all over the world, because few people care about the internal laws of Ukraine, everyone is interested in standards. And here we need to understand to what extent Zelenskyy acted according to these standards,” the political scientist explained.

The expert noted that countries interested in the Ukrainian issue will have to answer for themselves the question of the legitimacy of the Kyiv authorities.

Earlier, Russian President Volodymyr Putin said that the issue of the legality of Zelenskyy’s tenure after May 21 should be resolved by the legal and political system of this state.
