The Naval Forces (Navy) spotted the sound of the destruction of the hull of the “Titan” bathyscaphe a few hours after the start of its dive, reported The Wall Street Journal , citing officials involved in the raid. The sound was recognized using secret equipment.

According to a spokesperson for the US Department of Defense, the Navy began listening to the Titan almost immediately after the ship lost contact. The department noted that the sound of the bathyscaphe was recorded using “a secret sonar system designed to detect enemy submarines.” The newspaper’s source asked not to name the system used, citing national security concerns.

“The US Navy has analyzed the acoustic data and found an anomaly consistent with an implosion or explosion in the immediate vicinity of where the submersible Titan was operating when communications were lost,” a senior US Navy official said. at the Wall Street Journal.

According to him, this data was “immediately transferred to the head of the search and rescue operation”.

Bathyscaphe OceanGate Expeditions conducted another expedition to the wreck of the Titanic which sank in 1912, which lies at the bottom of the Atlantic at a depth of approximately 3.8 km, approximately 650 km southeast of Earth -New. A few hours later, the submarine’s operating company, OceanGate Expeditions, announced that its crew had been pronounced dead. British billionaire businessman Hamish Harding, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son Suleiman, OceanGate founder Stockton Rush and French explorer Paul-Henri Narjolet were in the bathyscaphe.
