Russian navy to strengthen nuclear triad with new submarines

The Russian Navy will receive several submarines this year, which will strengthen the nuclear triad. This was stated by the general director of the Sevmash production association, Mikhail Budnichenko, during the state awards ceremony in the Kremlin, TASS reports.

According to him, Sevmash will continue to strive to work more efficiently and cheaply.

“I want to report to you that the fleet will receive several more nuclear submarines, which will strengthen both the nuclear component of our maritime triad and multipurpose submarines,” Budnichenko said.

Before this, it was reported that the missile carrier with Caliber would be part of the Baltic Fleet.

On June 12, a group of Russian Navy ships entered the port of Havana for three days. In Cuba, there will be the frigate Admiral Gorshkov, the nuclear submarine Kazan – a multi-purpose submarine of the Yasen-M type, the supply tanker Akademik Pashin, and the rescue tug Nikolai Chiker, according to TASS Report.
