Veer Banda Bairagi was remembered on the pretext of Muntashir, when even Sikhs had left him!

At present, one of the many topics going on at the national level is the discussion of the film ‘Adipurush’. In the center of discussion is Manoj Muntashir, who wrote dialogues more than the film, whose compositions have been heard all over the country in the context of national awakening. Even now, innumerable people will be found in the country whose mobile ringtone starts with the lyrics of a song written by Manoj Muntashir.

Whether it is a matter of controversy over the dialogue written in the film ‘Adipurush’ or Bajrangbali being called by him as an ardent devotee of Lord Shri Ram, whatever it may be. Presently, the controversy related to him is so deep everywhere that those who were his supporters till yesterday, are angry with him today. What should not be said for them is being said. It seems natural to some extent. Because the people who gave them name and identity, today they have the right to be angry with them. Because if someone who is not expected does something which he should not have done, then natural results come like this only.

If seen, Manoj Muntashir is going through a very bad phase at this time. Other meanings are also being extracted for everything he said. Everywhere you look, he is seen being put in the dock. But in spite of all this it has to be said that wait a while! Think in totality, how much truth is there in what we are thinking about Manoj Muntashir? May be they have become victims of so called secularism. In a big metropolis like Mumbai, it may also be that some of his friends associated with the cinema world have asked him to innovate and he wrote some such dialogues experimentally in many of the dialogues of this film, which have now become the reason for his criticism. Has happened. But would it be right to ignore all the excellent work done by him in the past because of this one mistake of his?

In fact, what is happening now with Manoj Muntashir reminded me of the time of Veer Banda Bairagi. Whatever happened to him in history, in other sense something similar is happening with this writer. Banda Bairagi, a name that broke the myth of his time in the region of North India that the Mughals, the epitome of terror, could never be conquered. Banda Bairagi formed such an army by taking Hindus and Sikhs together, who not only strengthened the foundation of Khalsa Panth but also won the Mughal army with a strong plan.

A huge area that has gone to Pakistan including today’s Punjab, Haryana, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal is witness to the fact that Banda Bairagi Ajay stood in front of the Mughals as a warrior, who was not possible for the Mughals to bow down and defeat. . His valor was so great that he took revenge for the martyrdom of Sahabzads. Guru Gobind Singh laid the foundation of the Sikh state in Lohgarh, the capital of the sovereign ‘Khalsa Raj’. Issued coins and stamps in the name of Guru Nanak Dev and Guru Gobind Singh, gave high status to the lower class people and made plow bearer farmer-laborers the owner of the land in his time.

How great is his importance in history as a brave warrior against injustice and tyranny and who always stood firm for the truth, this can be gauged from the poems written on him by Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore, Veer Savarkar and Maithilisharan Gupta. In fact, all these three have written wonderful poetry on Veer Banda Bairagi. In this, Swatantryaveer Savarkar does not limit himself to poetry, further describes in detail the bravery of Banda Bairagi in his book “Bharatiya Itihaastil Saha Soneri Paane” written in Marathi on Indian history. He writes that the name of that brave martyr can never be erased from Hindu history, who not only opposed the atrocities on Hindus by the Mughals, but also attacked them armedly.

Savarkar writes in his book that a large group of Sikhs under the banner of ‘Tatta Khalsa’ separated from Banda Bairagi’s army, due to which his army became weak. If this had not happened then the results of the war would have been different. In fact, today’s incident of Manoj Muntashir is connected with this one incident. What happened was that Abbul Muzaffaruddin Muhammad Shah Farrukh Siyar, sitting on the throne of Delhi, saw that the Mughal army was losing at one place after another and the Hindu-Sikh army under the leadership of Banda Bairagi was winning everywhere, then he made a move. , prepared a letter, in which it was said that Banda Bairagi himself wants to become the 11th Guru of the Sikhs, while he has not even sprinkled Amrit yet, so he is not a Sikh either. First he sprinkles nectar then he should lead the Sikh Khalsa army. The language of the letter itself was such that many of the Sikhs who read it seemed to agree that Banda Bairagi should sprinkle nectar first.

This letter of Emperor Farrukh Siyar was sent to the Jathedars of Amritsar. At that time Veer Banda Bairagi was working on a big plan for the complete destruction of the Mughals and was about to announce it in his court held on the Akal Takht every year on Baisakhi, but before that this letter divided the Sikhs into two parts. When some Jathedars of Amritsar said to Banda Bairagi, first sprinkle nectar, then they did not like his saying in this way. He told those Jathedars that Guru Sahib (Govind Singh) did not ask for this, he directly sent them to fight with the Mughals, then how can you create pressure for this? And after that everything is recorded in history. A large group of Sikhs had defected from Banda Bairagi’s army, which later in his life became a major reason for the defeat of the Mughal army.

It is also a matter of understanding that this defeat was not only his own, because Bhardwaj, born in Gautri Dogra family, did not come from Nanded in South India to the Punjab region of North India to fight the Mughals for any personal interest. His aim was to fight against the thought and vision which treats everyone as a dwarf before Islam and wishes for its destruction. Every Indian must read what happened in the future when a large group of Sikhs separated from Banda Bairagi. In fact, like this story recorded in history, even today it seems that just as once Banda Bairagi’s companions were divided into two camps, the same scenario is visible everywhere in the case of Manoj Muntashir.

In fact, we should not forget that this is the same Manoj Muntashir, who has sung songs like Teri Mitti Mein Mil Jawan, Gul Banke Mein Khil Jawan, Itni Si Hai Dil Ki Arju (Kesari) and who else has stirred the spirit of patriotism in the veins of the country. Who is he, where did he come from, that shadow like a shadow in all four directions, his arms have changed stories, Bhagirathi Teri Tarf Shivji Chale Dekh Zara Ye Bichitra Maya (Bahubali) has written such songs. Apart from this, there is a lot of good that goes into their account, so don’t just protest, understand the facts, we all have to see that they too don’t become a victim of bitterness like the brave man of history. If Manoj Muntashir has made any mistake, then give him an opportunity to rectify it.
