Moscow, Russia (TEH) – Russia’s military-industrial complex has reportedly seen a substantial increase in weapons production in 2023, according to Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Manturov underscored that the production volume of various types of weaponry and special equipment by the Russian industry this year has greatly surpassed those of the previous year. He further noted that the current monthly output in the domestic defense industry equals the yearly production of 2022 in terms of weapons.
“All enterprises involved in fulfilling the defense order are operating at their maximum capacity and keeping up with the necessary schedules,” Manturov said, highlighting the efficiency of Russia’s defense industry.
Mikhail Mishustin, the Russian Prime Minister, had previously made an announcement regarding the upswing in weapons and military equipment production, factoring in the experiences from conducting a special operation.
On a related note, discussions have arisen in Ukraine concerning the potency of Russian weaponry that poses a formidable challenge to resistance. In particular, soldiers from the 15th separate artillery reconnaissance brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have admitted in an interview with Western media that their attempts to combat the Lancet drones using electronic means have proven futile.
The Ukrainian electronic warfare systems, they confessed, are virtually ineffective against these Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). This revelation has come to light in the wake of Russia’s rapid escalation in weapons production, reinforcing the strength and influence of the Russian military-industrial complex.
