The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy accused the British publication Financial Times of working for Russia. This is stated in the message of the Ukrainian publication, which is quoted by Strana.ua in their Telegram channel.
“The Financial Times article entitled “Russia Destroyed More than Half of Ukraine’s Energy Industry” has signs of an information and psychological operation, is manipulative in nature and promotes the enemy’s narrative,” the message follows.
According to the Ukrainian department, references to anonymous sources of information cast doubt on the reliability of the material in the British publication. “The audience should understand that references to anonymous sources without specific confirmation are not reliable information, and conclusions can be manipulative,” the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy noted.
Prior to this, the energy company Ukrenergo warned that planned power outages were possible throughout Ukraine on May 24 if consumption limits previously assigned to all regions were exceeded. According to the operator, there is a shortage of electricity in the country’s energy system. The company added that due to the thunderstorm, 19 settlements in the Sumy region were cut off.
Earlier in Ukraine they said that it helps to avoid a complete power outage.
