Islamic Iran thinks “it is the most worthy country for Joining” BRICS

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia, referring to the presence of the President of our country, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, for the first time as an official member of the 16th BRICS summit.

Iran’s ambassador to Russia mentioned our country’s membership in international and regional cooperation mechanisms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the BRICS group, and the signing of a free trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union in recent years as opportunities to strengthen our country’s relations in the world.

Jalali said: that Iran’s membership in the BRICS group is considered a good opportunity for this group because this group has had a serious confrontation with the world power structure from the beginning, and therefore, it is the most worthy country for Joining this alliance was our country.

He reminded that the basic statement in the formation of the BRICS group was that the international power structure does not respond to the needs of today’s mankind and the developments in the world show that the current power structure is unfair.

Iran’s ambassador to Russia said: The inability of the United Nations Security Council to stop the killing of the people of Gaza and Lebanon by Israel shows that some people in the world seek unilateral rule and have shaped the power structure for their benefit.

The importance of the BRICS summit

In another part of his speech, Jalali called the economic aspect of the BRICS summit also important and said: This group includes a group of countries that consume the most and produce the most energy in the world.

He continued: Countries like Iran, Russia, and Saudi Arabia are the biggest energy producers, and next to them, China and India are major energy consumers in the world. The Iranian diplomat said: The BRICS countries, which have a significant share of the world’s population, can make effective decisions in the field of facilitating economic relations between the member countries of this group by converging more in the summit.

Iran’s participation for the first time

the Iranian ambassador to Russia reminded us: In the BRICS summit in Kazan, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran will participate as an official member for the first time, which is an important point for the development of our country’s multilateral cooperation.

He stated: On the other hand, this trip is considered to be the first trip of a medical doctor to Russia and an opportunity to develop bilateral relations.

Jalali said: The upcoming meeting between Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian and Vladimir Putin will be the second face-to-face meeting between the presidents of Iran and Russia after numerous phone conversations, and this meeting can accelerate the development of bilateral relations.
