Xi Jinping has left Russia

He was seen on the catwalk by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko and other officials.

Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow on March 20. Russia has become the first country visited by the President of the People’s Republic of China after his re-election for a third term by the National People’s Congress. On the first day of Xi Jinping’s visit, he had an informal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. It lasted 4.5 hours: the leaders of the two countries first met in a representative office in the first building of the Kremlin, then continued to communicate one-on-one over a working lunch.

Putin congratulated Xi Jinping on his re-election for a new term and said that “in recent years, China has taken a huge leap forward in its development” and that Russia is even “a bit jealous”. He also noted that Moscow “read carefully” the plan for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict prepared in Beijing and intends to discuss it later.

Xi Jinping, in turn, expressed hope that Russians will support Putin in the 2024 presidential election. The Chinese president noted that Beijing “pays great attention to the development of China-Russia relations, because there are historical logic there.

On March 21, official talks between Putin and Xi Jinping took place in the Kremlin. At the end of the meeting, the leaders of the two countries adopted a joint declaration. It indicates that Russian-Chinese relations have reached the highest level in their history and continue to develop steadily. The sides agreed to support each other in protecting each other’s core interests, regularly conduct joint sea and air patrols, and strengthen cooperation to fight against “color revolutions.”

Putin and Xi Jinping also expressed great concern over NATO’s strengthening ties with countries in the Asia-Pacific region on military issues and opposed any unilateral sanctions imposed by circumventing the UN Security Council. ‘UN.
