Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Ukraine will spend about 550 million dollars on the purchase of drones

In 2023, Ukraine will buy nearly $550 million worth of drones for its armed forces, and 16 supply deals have already been signed with Ukrainian manufacturers, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said.
During the 11 months of the war, the Ukrainian and Russian military used a variety of drones, also called drones, for reconnaissance and attack purposes.
“In 2023 we are increasing the purchase of drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” Reznikov wrote on his Facebook page. “We plan to allocate around UAH 20 billion ($547.05 million) to this segment.”
Ukraine has received large shipments of drones from its partners, from Turkish models equipped with Bayraktar TV2 missiles to Norwegian Black Hornet reconnaissance drones that weigh less than 33 grams.
Today, Kiev wants to increase domestic production to create a “drone army”, as officials call it.
