US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin received Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze at the Pentagon to confirm US-Georgia defense relations, the US military department said.
“Secretary Austin reaffirmed U.S. support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and U.S. commitment to help Georgia build its deterrence and defense capabilities,” he said. said Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder.
“The two leaders also discussed Russia’s war in Ukraine, ongoing military reforms in Georgia, and security challenges facing Georgia and South Caucasus countries,” Ryder said.
