Voronezh athletes excelled at the Russian championship

The Russian athletics championship started in Moscow, in which about 700 athletes from all over the country, including the Voronezh region, participate. And already as a result of the results of the first day of competition, the Voronezh team won two bronze medals.

In the 60m hurdles, Alina Bozyukova closed the top three with a score of 8.28 seconds. And her compatriot – multiple champion of the country – started at a distance of 3000 meters. Svetlana Aplachkina won bronze in 8 minutes 56.49 seconds.

It is noteworthy that in the qualifying phase of the men’s long jump, the best result was achieved by Yury Ozhgibesov from Voronezh – 7 meters 77 cm.
