On Tuesday, March 7, the Year of the Teacher and Mentor was launched in the Kaluga region. The solemn ceremony took place in the KSU building. KE Tsiolkovsky, the press service of the Kaluga government reports.
The theme of pedagogy was not chosen for 2023 by chance, because March 3 marked the 200th anniversary of the birth of the founder of science pedagogy Konstantin Ushinsky.
According to Konstantin Gorobtsov, deputy governor of the Kaluga region, all conditions are created in the region for raising children in the best traditions of Russian pedagogy. As part of the continued modernization of the education system, 19 schools will be repaired in this region and 3 new schools will be built. The national project “Education” is one of the most important: the attention of the country’s leaders to the problems of the educational sphere is constantly growing, significant funds have been allocated to eliminate the queue in preschool institutions. A new approach to the training of secondary vocational education personnel has taken shape in the region.
“I am sure that this year will be the beginning of a new vision of the educational process at all levels and the elevation of the status of the personality of the teacher,” added the Deputy Governor.
Previously, the Year of the Teacher and Mentor was declared in Russia by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Its main task is to recognize the special status of teachers and to increase the prestige of the teaching profession.
