Washington does not comment on why Yevtushenkov and Baturina are not on the sanctions lists

– Published on:

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refuses to explain why Russian businessmen Vladimir Yevtushenkov and Yelena Baturina were not on the US sanctions list. Earlier, the Republican-leaning New York Post tabloid claimed that Yevtushenkov and Baturina had business contacts with Hunter Biden, the US president’s son, related to the purchase of commercial real estate. It was also alleged that they had lunch with Joe Biden, Hunter’s father, when he was Vice President of the United States.

Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer journalists’ questions about the situation, stressing that she would not address topics related to the president’s son. Additionally, she indicated that she would not comment on individuals from Russia regarding the sanctions.

All questions concerning the son of the American leader, known for his wild lifestyle and suspected by his father’s political opponents of “influence peddling”, transmitted the press secretary of the White House to the family.
