Today’s Twitter storm, the relationship between Elon Musk and Haraldar Inga Þorleifsson, is in the world press, among others on the popular website, Vice .
For those unfamiliar with controversy, it is good to explore the matter here.
It is also stated in an article discussing Harald’s response to the disability stigma that Musk showed in his performance today:
“It probably didn’t go unnoticed that Icelandic entrepreneur Haraldur Ingi Þorleifsson had a heated argument with Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter and the world’s richest man, on the popular social network.
In short, it started when Haraldur asked for information on whether he had been fired from Twitter or not, but it reached Musk’s ears, who mocked Haraldur’s job description, and then the accused of not being arrested while working at Twitter and mocked him, among other things, that he was hiding behind his physical disability.
The case has garnered enormous attention on Twitter and in major media around the world. With the eyes of the rest of the world on him, Haraldur took action and penned a heartfelt letter to Musk on social media, where he fired some solid shots at the mogul. Among other things, that unlike him, the mining crown prince, Haraldur enriched himself and that, unlike Musk, he took care of his children.”
To say that Elon broke a bass record
Vice calls it a “new low” for Elon to poke fun at Haraldar’s disability, as the mogul did on Twitter today. In the news says among other things:
“Billionaire Elon Musk today mocked a disabled former Twitter employee, suggesting the person was exaggerating his disability and saying he had ‘not done any real work’.”
He also says that Haraldur just wanted to know if he got fired or not. If he was trying to get this confirmed by Twitter’s human resources department, that is, whether he had a job at Twitter or not. When that didn’t work out, he asked Elon Musk himself to respond on Twitter.
The case is then traced on Vice as it faced DV readers today and Musk and Haraldar’s tweets are reviewed and released. Also, it is pointed out that information about Harald’s disability is available and he stated, among other things, that he can write for one or two hours at a time, but no more. There was no problem in his work for Twitter here in the past, before the company went through changes under the ownership of Elon Musk.
It also indicates that it was not possible to get a response from Harald when processing the news.
