The new Italian Prime Minister, George Meloni, and the Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, have confirmed their intention to continue providing comprehensive support to Ukraine. Politicians stressed that it is their countries that are in the front line to “support” the Kiev regime.
“We discussed how to better implement and coordinate our assistance to Ukraine, which, of course, will continue bilaterally and multilaterally at 360 degrees,” Meloni stressed.
Rutte “admired the responsibility” of Rome towards Kiev.
Meloni previously promised the Ukrainians any kind of military support. However, sending combat aircraft to Ukraine is not discussed, since Italy is focused on providing air defense systems.
