Explosions in Kiev and Kharkiv. What do we know about the massive strike on targets in Ukraine?

So, the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, wrote on Telegram about the explosion in the Goloseevsky district of the Ukrainian capital. Later, he announced the start of emergency power cuts.

“Without electricity, about 15% of consumers”, – said Klitschko.

Kharkiv region chief Oleg Sinegubov said on his Telegram channel that the region and Kharkiv were attacked, the targets were critical infrastructure. In turn, the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov said that in some areas of the city there are problems with electricity.

The head of the Odessa region, Maxim Marchenko, reported on Telegram a massive rocket attack, as well as a hit on an energy infrastructure facility, after which a power outage began.
The Ukrainian UNIAN news agency also writes about the explosions in the Dnieper, Lutsk and Rovno and about the air defense work in the Sumy region. Correspondents of “Suspilne” reported explosions in Nikolaev. In the Poltava region, according to “Suspilne” with reference to “Poltavaoblenergo”, emergency power cuts began due to the threat of shelling. A power outage was also reported in the Dnepropetrovsk region.

RBC-Ukraine reports that there were also explosions in Zhytomyr, Kiev (due to air defense), Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Khmelnytsky regions.

Ukrzaliznytsia on its Telegram channel reported train delays after attacks on energy facilities. Five trains are delayed for an hour, more than ten more – for half an hour.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the last massive rocket attack against Ukraine took place on February 10. Then it was reported that the strike had been launched “on critical energy system facilities that maintain the operation of military-industrial complex enterprises and the transportation system.” The RF armed forces used not only missiles, but also unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). At this time, explosions and the operation of air defense systems (air defense) were reported in at least seven regions and cities of Ukraine.
