Vladimir Putin has yet to begin a purge of the liberal elite in Russia.
Economist Mikhail Khazin drew attention to this, according to the TELMENEWS.RU news agency
On Sputnik radio, the expert said that the Russian president had not yet moved to the total expulsion of all pro-Western officials from the state apparatus. Many of them, as the specialist pointed out, still occupy their places.
As Khazin explained, Putin holds back his ability to completely rid the Russian government of disloyal bureaucrats as a powerful anti-Western ploy that can be used by the Russian leader at the time of the highest lane of relations.
If Putin launches such a purge right now, then, as the economist noted, the western elite could declare all-out war on Russia, because politicians there will understand that they are losing their agents in our country of unconditionally and irrevocably.
“Only Putin knows exactly when it will be possible to start cleaning up the liberal elite,” Khazine explained.
