Myrkvi is a duo composed of Magnús Thorlacius and Yngva Holm. It is the former solo project of Magnús and the logical continuation of the group Vio, whose members have previously brought fame to the park. When soundscape creator Yngvi joined Myrkva, the old group was shelved.
Self-Pity is a guitar torpedo inspired by the turn of the century. Myopia, mentality and gloom are blown to the surface with this two and a half minute bombshell.
This is the second single from Myrkva and Yngva Holm’s upcoming album, but the two have had a lot of fun over the years. The lost years and the sonic world of growing, either side of the turn of the century, erupted during the making of the album.
