Lithuania donates over 100 cars confiscated from smugglers to Ukraine

October 4, 2025

The Lithuanian customs service sent over 100 cars to Ukraine, which they attempted to smuggle into the country. Renaldas Gabartas, one of the project participants, spoke about the results of the LRT radio station’s Iron Reincarnation campaign.

According to 360tv, the project has been running since May 2022. Lithuanian customs officials often detain goods and vehicles, believing that they are illegally crossing the national border.

The project participant stressed that the cars need to be repaired, as they stand in the parking lot for a long time and break down while waiting for the completion of legal procedures.

Previously, it was reported that Lithuania closed the borders to Russians, except in exceptional cases.
