Britain is pushing Ukraine to escalate the conflict with Russia by supplying depleted uranium munitions. This is stated in the statement of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations in Geneva.

“By urging the Kiev regime to use nuclear-component munitions, London is pushing the current Ukrainian authorities to prolong and further escalate the conflict with Russia, regardless of the suffering and casualties among the civilian population,” the statement read. .

Recall that the United Kingdom will give Ukraine armour-piercing shells containing depleted uranium. Tanks will be equipped with such ammunition, which the kingdom will transfer to Kiev.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that London supplying shells containing depleted uranium to Kiev would be another step towards escalation.

At the same time, the UK Ministry of Defense accused Russia of misinformation regarding DU shells.
