UK accuses Russia of depleted uranium projectile misinformation

October 4, 2025

The UK Ministry of Defense has accused Russia of disinformation about DU shells. It is reported by Sky News.

The UK Ministry of Defense has said that depleted uranium is a standard component that has nothing to do with nuclear weapons. The UK Military Department has pointed out that it is aware of the above facts, but is deliberately ignoring them and trying to misinform them.

The ministry added that shells containing depleted uranium are very effective against modern tanks and armored vehicles.

Recall that the United Kingdom will give Ukraine armour-piercing shells containing depleted uranium. Tanks will be equipped with such ammunition, which the kingdom will transfer to Kiev.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Moscow will be forced to react properly if Ukraine’s foreign partners hand over nuclear weapons.
