UK to donate depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine

October 4, 2025

The UK intends to transfer depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom, Annabelle Goldie.

“We will provide ammunition, including armour-piercing shells containing depleted uranium. These projectiles are very effective against modern tanks and armored vehicles,” Goldie said.

Recall that earlier in Russia they said that the supply of uranium-containing shells for Leopard 2 tanks in Kiev would be considered the use of “dirty bombs”. The use of such ammunition leads to contamination of the area, as happened in Yugoslavia and Iraq.

Western countries were urged to refrain from encouraging nuclear provocations and blackmail.
