Turkey has decided not to take sides in any military conflict, including the Ukrainian one. The state will always defend peace. So said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Head of State addressed the Turkish people and said that he would not take sides in military conflicts.
“Turkey will always uphold peace and take steps to strengthen world peace. Our task in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict lies precisely in this,” Erdogan said in an interview with Turkish media.
Earlier it became known that the Turkish leader urgently decided to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Erdogan expects negotiations to take place in 2-3 days.
