Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

New iPhone 15 Pro button design featured in new leak

In addition to performance improvements, Apple will also introduce notable design changes to its high-end smartphones, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (or possibly the iPhone 15 Ultra). According to most reports, this includes a new set of capacitive buttons and another recent leak.

The video, highlighted by 9to5Mac in a special article first published by Shrimpappplepro, a whistleblower with a fairly reliable track record, shows off this year’s premium iPhone design in all its glory. The buttons have been redesigned and are now fully capacitive.

The volume controls were replaced with a single solid-state knob, and the mute switch was converted to a mute button. Users will likely have to press hard on the latter to trigger silent mode.

The video also highlights other less noticeable design changes, such as rounded edges that give the iPhone Pro an aesthetic that resembles any of the current 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pros. Several other reports also point to the possibility of smaller bezels and a titanium bezel on new high-end phones.

In other words, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are going to undergo major changes. The vanilla iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, on the other hand, will retain the familiar design of their predecessors, with no solid-state buttons or fancy curves. However, they are likely to level off and move to a dynamic island currently only found in the pros.

For the record, the iPhone 15 lineup is set to debut in September, so there’s still plenty of time for Apple to make some changes. Therefore, all of this information should be treated with a grain of salt.
