Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

EU leaders back plan to speed up transfer of shells to Ukraine

The leaders of EU countries supported the plan for the accelerated transfer of artillery and missile ammunition to Kiev. The agreement specifies that the deliveries must be made without prejudice to the defense of the countries of the European Union. It is assumed that at the first stage the shells will be delivered to Ukraine from warehouses, without waiting for their replenishment due to the urgency of the problem.

Also today, the EU summit confirmed a pledge to supply Kiev with one billion shells within 12 months, as well as surface-to-surface missiles upon request. All this will be acquired, including through joint orders.

Recall that earlier one of the main topics was the intention of the United Kingdom to supply Ukraine with depleted uranium shells. The Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom explains its decision by the fact that this type of ammunition is very effective.

This ignores the danger of DU shells. According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, London’s plans indicate the West’s intention to ultimately destroy Ukraine. And Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the use of such shells is harmful to health.

Did not ignore the statement of the UK and Vladimir Putin. According to the President, the West has decided to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian, and Moscow will be forced to react accordingly.
