Peskov commented on Putin’s threat of arrest in Armenia

October 4, 2025

Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov commented on Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s threat of arrest in Armenia. In a conversation with Rise, he clarified that so far Yerevan has not explained its position.

“Not yet. We will discuss it with our partners,” Peskov replied.

It should be recalled that today the Constitutional Court of Armenia recognized that the obligations established by the declaration on the retroactive recognition of the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court are in accordance with the Constitution of the country.

Pre-Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for two people on 17 March. Namely, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Children’s Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova.
