Russian President Vladimir Putin created the “For Courage” medal. This is evidenced by the text of the decree published on the legal information portal.
The Medal “For Courage” will be awarded to Russian citizens for the bravery and courage they have shown during battles and other operations aimed at protecting the Fatherland and the interests of the state of the country, as well as maintain or restore international peace and security.
The new medal will have degrees I and II. The medals are silver, and the 1st degree medal must be gold.
