“News” referring to sources of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, they said that by the end of this year, several engineering units and formations of military districts will immediately receive a new engineering system for the remote mining “Agriculture”.
It is stated that in appearance the installation resembles a conventional multiple rocket launcher system. At the same time, “Agriculture” works on the same principle: it fires 122 mm caliber rockets. After the projectile lands on the ground, it does not explode, but burrows into a combat stance.
The remote mining system has a flight range of five to fifteen kilometers. A volley of “Agriculture” can cover an area comparable in size to several football fields.
As the publication clarifies, this system has proven itself very well both in combat work and in exercises.
