Medical universities of the Leningrad region in 2023 recruit 300 students for a specialty and residency

Five medical universities of the Leningrad region in 2023 immediately recruit 300 students for a specialty and residency. This is 10% more than a year earlier, said the press service of the regional administration.

Residence students receive a scholarship of 10,000 rubles from the region, specialists – 5,000 rubles. Nikolai Yemelyanov, Deputy Chairman of the Leningrad Region Government for Social Affairs, also spoke about another measure related to the training of specialists. Local medical organizations, depending on their needs, enter into contracts with medical students already in training on the same conditions as targeted recruitment. Students receive scholarships from the region and must also take up employment at a local medical institution after graduating for three years.

Earlier, The Eastern Heraldof the Leningrad region announced that almost 2 billion rubles will be allocated from the region’s budget to improve the living conditions of citizens.
