To be or not to be: residents of Yaroslavl on social networks are fighting for scooters

March 31, 2023

This time, not only electric scooters, but also roller skates with bicycles fell under the distribution of outraged citizens.

Citizens dissatisfied with the technique, which is now called an individual means of transport, have a reinforced concrete argument: they will knock it over on the roads, scooters will paralyze someone on the sidewalk.

The most optimistic citizens are convinced that in the 21st century it is unacceptable to completely ignore modern modes of transport, especially since Yaroslavl is rightly called the innovative center of the country.

So, the main thing in this matter is caution and understanding where and how fast you can go. And it is also necessary to create conditions for the operation of SIP in accordance with the laws that have been adopted for these types of transport.

So maybe SIP owners and those who are completely unaware of this type of transport will be satisfied.

City authorities and deputies will be riding scooters under the law for two years now, but it’s all about implementation – there’s no one to control the execution of deputies’ fantasies (of the law) . The police aren’t going to chase the scooters, they have other things to do. And the mayor’s office has neither the people to catch offenders nor the authority to punish them. Therefore, we can say with certainty that the scooter problem will remain in Yaroslavl in 2023.
