Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

In the Stavropol Territory, “mobile assistants” help pensioners and the disabled

Every year, more than 270 trips to help the elderly and disabled are carried out by social workers of the Novoaleksandrovsky district within the framework of the Mobile Brigade program.

Specialists provide both emergency assistance and planned assistance. For example, they help in the collection of documents for home and hospital care, deliver technical equipment for rehabilitation, perform the patronage of isolated citizens and provide social and medico-social services. Social workers also lead preventative conversations, teach seniors how to protect themselves from scammers, introduce fire safety skills and the basics of financial literacy.

Within the framework of interdepartmental cooperation, representatives of territorial services, law enforcement and health are associated with the work of the mobile teams.

According to the district administration, this format of work has been used for more than ten years. In total, the services of “mobile assistants” are used by about 1,000 residents of villages and cities, including remote ones.

“Mobile brigades” are organized in all territories of the Stavropol Territory, they increase the targeting and accessibility of social services for the elderly and people with disabilities.
