New Delhi. There is a threat of ban on Imran Khan from contesting for of PM of Pakistan. To avoid arrest and conviction, Imran has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court to quash 121 cases against him. On which the hearing is to be held today. The petition filed by Imran and his party PTI will be heard by a two-member bench headed by Justice Ali Bakr Najafi.Imran Khan and PTI are both petitioners in the petition. According to the petition, the government is “misusing” the legal system to prevent the PTI leader from contesting in the upcoming elections. The PTI chairman has claimed that more than 100 cases have been registered against him on several occasions. He has informed the Lahore High Court on March 24, requesting protective bail in five cases brought against him in Islamabad. According to the petition, a conspiracy is being hatched to remove Khan “from the political arena by any means”. The Shehbaz government is taking malicious action against him on the basis of “false allegations” to disqualify him for election and ensure his arrest.
