Colombian President Gustavo Petro said on the social network X that he will not participate in the conference on  Ukraine in  Switzerland, Fakti reports.

In his opinion, at this meeting, it is impossible to discuss ways to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

“I am canceling my trip to a meeting in Switzerland and asking Europe to discuss how to end the war, not prolong it,” Petro said.

The Colombian President noted that the Ukraine conference in Switzerland is not “a free forum for discussing the path to peace” between Moscow and Kyiv.

“The conclusions are already predetermined,” he emphasized.

Prior to this, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi announced that he had no plans to take part in the conference on Ukraine in Switzerland.

The Ukraine Summit in Switzerland takes place in the city of Bürgenstock from June 15 to 16. US President Joe Biden, Chinese and Brazilian leaders Xi Jinping and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva refused to travel to the event.
