Brasilia. Brazil has given up on hosting the BRICS summit to be held next year i.e. in 2024. Brazil says that it will not be able to hold both the G20 and BRICS summits in the same year. He has a challenge regarding the arrangement. In such a situation, Brazil will not host BRICS next year. According to the order, the next name comes from Russia. Russia was to host BRICS in 2025 but now it will organize the summit only in 2024. The conference will be held in the city of Kazan, Russia.
What is BRICS
BRICS is a group of five countries Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Every year there is a summit of BRICS in which the heads of state or representatives of the five countries are included. India has also hosted the BRICS Summit. This organization is considered important because it includes many economic superpowers of the world. No Western country is involved in this. Earlier South Africa was not a part of it and it was known as BRIC.
In the year 2006, the foreign ministers of the four countries had a high-level meeting in New York. After this, the blue print of this group was prepared. In 2011, South Africa also joined this group. Actually, China, India, and Russia, these three countries are counted among the big economies of the world. Apart from this, South Africa is the largest country in the continent of Africa. In this way, the importance of this organization increases. Many other countries also want to be a part of the organization. This includes Saudi Arabia and Mexico which have spoken openly.
