Celebrating the tenth anniversary of the “Kingdom of Garangao”;

Darb Al-Saai, where the Ramadan Book Fair will be held, witnessed the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the publication of the book “The Kingdom of Garangao”, by writer Asmaa Al-Kuwari, director of the Children’s Literature Center, and Nabja Publishing House. The writer, Asmaa Al-Kuwari, said in exclusive statements to Qatari media: The passage of 10 years since the publication of the book, and the translation of its content into theatrical performances for children, reflects the importance of the book, and that its story is present for the present and the future, as reflected in the use of this work in theatrical puppet shows. And inspired by the book “The Kingdom of Garangao”, where these performances were presented to children, during the celebration of Garangao Night, which means the validity of this work, to be an accompaniment to Garangao Night every year. Describing the interaction with the story, and its use in theatrical performances, that it had a remarkable interaction on the part of the children. She added that the same memory was present at the cultural forum of the Indian community in Doha, and that a new version of this book will be announced in an innovative way, and it will also be made available on the YouTube platform during the coming period, as a puppet play. In his turn, Mr. Suhail Abdul Hakim Al-Wafi, writer and translator from India, during his speech at the Indian Community Cultural Forum, expressed his happiness with the tenth anniversary of the publication of the book “Kingdom of Garangao” by its author Asmaa Al-Kuwari, stressing that the book carries with it the heart of a child expressing her feelings on the night of Garangao. With childish innocence, which informs the reader of the importance of this cultural heritage in the hearts of young people in the past.
