CNN previously reported that leaked Pentagon documents showed the United States was spying on Zelenskyy. According to the channel’s information obtained from US military data, in late February the President of Ukraine offered to strike Russian troops in the Rostov region using unmanned aerial vehicles. It is allegedly for this reason that it has not yet been decided whether to supply Ukraine with long-range missile systems – for fear of such strikes on Russian territory and, as a result, Chinese intervention .
“That cannot be ruled out,” Peskov commented, responding to a question about the assessment of this information. “You have seen that the leaks are quite interesting. They are all studied, analyzed and widely discussed.”
But the fact that the United States has long since begun to spy on various heads of state, especially European countries, has “resurfaced” several times, the Kremlin spokesman recalled. It also caused scandalous situations, he added. “It can’t be ruled out,” Peskov again remarked.
At the same time, he declined to comment on speculation about the involvement of the Russian Federation in leaking secret US documents.
