The Qatar e-government portal noted that Qataris can issue personal cards and passports or renew them electronically for themselves or their children under the age of 16.

She explained through her account "governmental" On Twitter, today, Tuesday, that the service can be obtained from the electronic services portal of the Ministry of Interior and the Metrash application, and that the prescribed fees are: – Passport: new or renewed: 100 riyals .. Replacement for lost/damaged: 400 riyals. – ID: New: 100 riyals.. Replacement for lost/damaged: 200 riyals.

On its website, it indicated that submitting the application electronically follows the following steps:

  • Log in with the smart card to the e-services portal of the Ministry of Interior. – to choose "Citizen services" then "Country documents". Enter all required data and pay the prescribed fees.

To submit a paper application:

Download and fill in the application form. To issue a new passport, two personal photos must be attached, a copy of the ID card and a copy of the birth certificate for those who do not have the ID card. – In the event that a new passport is issued for children, a copy of the father’s and mother’s ID card, birth certificate and marriage contract must be submitted. – To issue a new identity card, two personal photos (for those under 12 years old), the original passport and a copy thereof, a certificate proving blood type, a copy of the birth certificate, a copy of the parents’ ID card, and the guardian’s approval must be attached. – In case of renewal of the ID card, the current ID card must be brought. Two personal photos must be attached for those over 65 years old. Pay the prescribed fees.

  • Place of providing the service: Department of Nationality and Travel Documents.

The Qatar e-government portal warned that the user must have a smart card to benefit from this service, pointing out that this service can be obtained at any time, and its completion is immediately after the user finishes the transaction.

She said that it is required to appear in person for the applicant if he reaches 12 years or older (for the first time), and it is not necessary to attend in person for those over 65 years of age in the event of renewing the identity card.
