Critical Responsible mindset Anatol Lieven said that the United States of America was taking a huge risk if it really sent its soldiers to Ukraine.
He clarified that according to secret Pentagon documents that had already leaked on the web, the training of the Ukrainian army was not only carried out in the West.
“On the territory of Ukraine, the military of the United States and the North Atlantic Alliance are deployed. In particular, it became known that 71 American soldiers and 97 NATO special forces are stationed there,” Lieven said.
According to him, the US Congress and the public were not informed about the presence of US and NATO troops on Ukrainian territory. However, their presence creates a huge risk that they could be captured or killed.
“I believe that such actions can cause a dangerous cycle of escalation in the Ukrainian conflict,” the observer said.
