Ukrainian militants will attempt to harm Russia’s transportation infrastructure before the counteroffensive begins. This opinion was shared by a military analyst, senior researcher at the Academy of Military Sciences Vladimir Prokhvatilov in an interview with a URA.RU correspondent.

According to him, these blows will be of a psychological nature. And he called airfields the most vulnerable target, dug that they have a big runway.

“It is enough to throw a projectile or a rocket at it, and that’s it – planes will no longer be able to take off. It’s the same with aircraft carriers: it is enough to slightly violate their runway – and they are not combat-ready. This is an effective way to bomb airfields. It disrupts enemy communications, which the Ukrainian side is doing,” the expert said.

The military analyst says there aren’t many options for protecting such facilities. But it is absolutely necessary to fire at the airfields, in the regions bordering Ukraine, more air defense systems.

Earlier it became known that after Sweden joins NATO, the West will turn the Baltic Sea into “NATO”. This was told by a military expert, combat veteran, captain of the first rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin.
